Nestled in a valley filled with orange groves and flanked by the Topa Topa peaks, the charming city of Ojai provides a spectacular setting for the Village of Tales Storytelling Festival. The festival itself takes place in the famed Libbey Bowl, an outdoor theatre filled with majestic oaks and sycamores offering lovely views of the mountains and the perfect place to hear stories. Located right downtown, you can walk to restaurants, galleries, bookstores and shops of all kinds. Once parked, everything is within a few minutes walking distance from the festival site.

About Ojai

Chosen by Frank Capra for the location of the film “Lost Horizon”, Ojai is known for its natural beauty, wonderful climate and serenity… the town is truly a Shangri-La. Ojai offers something for every kind of lifestyle from active with cycling, golfing, hiking, tennis and boating to relaxing with unique shops and places to retreat. That’s why we say the Village of Tales is not just a storytelling festival…’s an experience.

“The Ojai Storytelling Festival has it all: entertaining, nationally known storytellers, wonderful organization and the ideal location to sit out under the oaks and hear stories that will move you, make you laugh and remind you it is great to be alive.”
